Location
Dunedin is known for its Scottish and Māori heritage, Victorian and Edwardian architecture, and large student population. Hiking and cycling trails crisscross the dramatic landscape of the adjoining Otago Peninsula, home to colonies of albatross, sea lions and rare yellow-eyed penguins.
Please Note: Dunedin Airport is about 30km from the University (about a 20-minute drive). A taxi will cost around you $80-$100. To save you money and ensure you have a ride into town, we suggest pre-booking a shuttle via Supershuttle. You can also pre-book a return trip back to the airport at the conclusion of the Conference. Once in the City Centre, everything is within walking distance so we would not recommend hiring a car. If you would like to know about other transport options, Dunedin Airport has partnered with local providers. Information can be found here.
Weather
Dunedin in November sees 15°C daytime maximum temperatures in the shade with on average 6 hours of sunshine per day.
